Pre-Boot Camp Prep Materials: Targeted worksheets and resources to ensure students come prepared to maximize their time at boot camp.

Personal Statement: Complete the personal statement with hands-on coaching throughout the ideation, outlining, and editing process.

Extracurricular Activities and Award List: Create a polished inventory of extracurriculars and awards to be listed for the Common Application and scholarship applications.

Supplemental Essay: Complete at least one supplemental essay with outlines, ideas, or drafts for additional essays for college supplements.

​For an additional fee, families can upgrade to the Premium Package, which includes one-on-one consultation meetings before and after the bootcamp. In addition to the Standard Package offering, this option provides expert guidance on college lists, early application strategy, and additional editing support.

Meet Your Experts
Dr. Emma Winsor Wood
Dr. Emma Windsor Wood is a writer, editor, and educator with extensive experience guiding students through the college application process. She is the co-author of The Complete College Essay Handbook: A Step-by-Step Guide to Writing the Personal Statement and the Supplemental Essays, and she loves helping students uncover, explore, and tell their stories throughout the application process. Since 2016, Emma has helped students gain admissions to a range of schools including Caltech, Columbia, Duke, Harvard, Middlebury, NYU, Northwestern, Stanford, Tulane, University of Chicago, University of Michigan, UNC-Chapel Hill, UT-Austin, UVA, and Yale, among others.
Emma is currently a Professor of English at Xavier University, where she teaches writing and literature. She earned her Ph.D. in Literature from the University of California-Santa Cruz, her M.F.A. in Poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop at the University of Iowa, and her A.B. from Harvard College where she graduated summa cum laude.

Vivian Chen
Vivian has devoted the last decade to mentoring and motivating students to realize their goals. She has coached students in grades 8-12, providing personalized guidance and support throughout the college and prep school admissions process. Vivian is dedicated to making college admissions less stressful by connecting with young scholars and guiding them with an empathetic approach. Using her experience and knowledge, Vivian has helped students successfully navigate the college admissions process to earn spots at Dartmouth, Georgetown, Cornell, Boston University, University of Southern California and other selective schools.
Vivian holds a B.S. in Hospitality Business from Cornell University (SC Johnson College of Business), where she was a former Division 1 rower on the women's rowing team. She currently serves as the co-president of the Cornell Club of Cincinnati and an alumni interviewer for Cornell University and Phillips Academy Andover.
Michael Chen
Michael graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and is an inductee to the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. He holds both a M.A. and B.A. in Mathematics, with a minor in Linguistics. Leveraging his expertise in STEM and language, Michael helps students articulate their academic passions with clarity and precision. He enjoys guiding students to express complex ideas effectively and empowering them to craft authentic narratives in their college applications.

Working full-time as a data engineer, Michael is also deeply committed to public service. He serves on the San Francisco MTA Board of Directors, where he channels his passion for creating safe and efficient urban transit.
